Dr. Liu and Collaborators Win Film Awards

Dr. Renyu Liu along with his interdisciplinary collaborators (Dr. Jing Zhao, a neurologist, and Mr. Xuefeng Lin, a film director) won two awards: ‘Best Narrative Short Film’ and ‘The Humanitarian Awards’, for their work on a short movie related to stroke awareness (Wake Up Stroke 120).

The movie can be watched using this link (https://youtu.be/ohNZYlyoTaA). It is also featured by the New York City International Film Festival on its home page (www.nyciff.com). The movie received very positive reviews from the international community.

Dr. Liu is an active member of SNACC and works as a Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA.

I loved the movie. It means so much to me because it happened to my mother. The geographical barriers made it impossible for her to access rapid stroke care. It was over ten years ago. I wish we knew better then.
