Welcome to an abbreviated edition of the SNACC Newsletter. Due to the September date for SNACC’s Annual Meeting, this will be the pre-meeting newsletter edition. In this edition, there are multiple contributions from noted experts in the field of neuroanesthesia and critical care. The quality of the material is superb.
The Annual Meeting itself is the most extensive SNACC meeting to date. It promises to be educational and entertaining at the same time. There are so many workshops and symposiums, it will surely satisfy most people’s appetite for knowledge and scientific information that is on par with the best available anywhere in the world. Multiple fields of neuroscience are represented: from spine surgery to traumatic brain injury to evidence-based medicine for academic anesthesiologists. There is a hands-on “boot camp” for anyone interested in the fundamentals of clinical neuroanesthesia and neurocritical care.
The meeting is being held at the Arizona Grand Resort and Spa. This is the first year where the meeting is preceding the ASA Annual Meeting. For details on why, please refer to previous SNACC newsletters. The resort is a family-oriented place. I’m not sure how many participants will bring their families, but those that do come as a group may enjoy the venue even more!
Hope you are all having a great summer (N. Hemisphere members) as we prepare for our Annual Meeting. Thank you for being a valued SNACC member.
