Dr. Gelb Wins the 2018 CAS Gold Medal Award

Congratulations to Dr. Adrian Gelb on winning the 2018 Canadian Anesthesiologist’s Society (CAS) Gold Medal Award. This is the highest award given by CAS. Dr. Adrian Gelb is a highly influential and accomplished neuroanesthesiologist both in Canada and internationally. He is currently a professor of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care at the University of California in San Francisco.

Dr. Prabhakar publishes three books about neuroanesthesia and neurocritical care in 2017

Congratulations to Dr. Hemanshu Prabhakar on publishing three books in the subject of Neuroanesthesia and Neurocritical Care in 2017. Dr. Prabhakar is currently a Professor in the Department of Neuroanesthesiology and Critical Care at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India. He is also a member of the Education Committee and Membership Committees of SNACC.

Dr. Sharma awarded the Hariwir Singh Oration by ISNACC
Congratulations to Dr. Deepak Sharma, SNACC’s Vice President for Scientific Affairs, on being awarded with the Prestigious Hariwir Singh Oration by the Indian Society of Neuroanaesthesiology and Critical Care (ISNACC) during its 19th Annual Conference (ISNACC 2018) held at Mumbai, India.
The Oration is named after the late Prof. Hariwir Singh who was the Chairman of Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. Dr. Sharma was awarded with this Oration for his notable contribution in the field of neuroanaesthesia. As a part of the process, Dr. Sharma had the opportunity to address the gathering based on his experience on neurotrauma in different scenarios.
Later, on behalf of ISNACC, he was felicitated with shawl and memento by the students and colleagues of Prof. Hariwir Singh primarily from the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care, PGIMER, Chandigarh.
