Update on the Special Interest Group (SIG) for Neuromonitoring
Linda S. Aglio, MD, MS
The Special Interest Group (SIG) for Neuromonitoring has worked closely with the SNACC Neuromonitoring Subcommittee (part of the SNACC Education Committee) to enhance the educational curriculum for neuromonitoring. The main focus has been the interactive neuromonitoring modules online through the SNACC website. Our initial goal was to focus on basic neuromonitoring. We have tried to make it interesting to those with more familiarity with monitoring. Our next module is scheduled for publishing in December on the SNACC website. We welcome any SNACC member to contribute with an interesting case or suggestion in order to promote this endeavor. There are no specific guidelines on length or content, so any submission is welcome, as are photographs.
We would like to thank Drs. Laura Hemmer, David Schreibman and Antoun Koht who have contributed to the success of this initiative. I would also like to acknowledge Dr. Hemmer’s leadership role in encouraging me to join the SIG for Neuromonitoring.
