SNACC NEWSLETTER GUIDELINES

Information for Authors
The Editorial Board for the SNACC Newsletter welcomes submissions on a wide range of topics.  It has created the following guidelines to facilitate manuscript submission. Any questions may be directed to the editor or the editorial staff.

Manuscript Submission
Manuscripts must be submitted electronically to the newsletter Editor-in-Chief at girijarath.aiims@gmail.com.  Brief, concise articles are preferred. Reviews, case reports, interviews, and invited articles should be between 1,000 and 1,500 words. Committee updates, meeting reports, new advances in medicine, and members in the news articles should be between 750 and 1,000 words.

Deadlines 
The SNACC Newsletter is published four times a year. The deadlines for article submission are one month prior to publication and these deadlines are firm.

  1. Spring Issue: March 15
  2. Summer Issue: May 15
  3. Fall Issue: August 15
  4. Winter Issue: November 15

Editorial Policies
Editorial Review: All articles, whether solicited or unsolicited, are subject to editorial review. All material will be reviewed by the editors and the editorial staff.  Articles may be edited to conform to SNACC Newsletter style, format and space restrictions. The views expressed in the SNACC Newsletter are those of the authors and do not necessarily represent or reflect the views, policies or actions of the SNACC.

Authorship: Accepted material becomes the copyrighted property of the SNACC Newsletter and may not be republished or reprinted, in part or in whole, by the author or any other party without permission from the SNACC Newsletter.

Disclosure:  Authors should disclose voluntarily any commercial affiliations or associations that might pose a conflict of interest in connection with the submitted material.

Graphics, Tables and Figures: If the submission includes graphics (e.g., tables, illustrations, photographs, charts, graphs) please submit them as separate files rather than embedded in the manuscript text. Brief and specific legends should be submitted on a separate page of manuscript.

Abbreviations:  All abbreviations and acronyms should be defined at its first use except those that have been approved by standard resources.

Drug Names: Use generic names for all drugs, products and commercial services whenever possible. If any product or brand name(s) must be included for accuracy or clarity, notify the editor or editorial staff.

References: The authors are responsible for the accuracy of the references. Cite the reference in text in the order of appearance. Reference numbers in the text should be typed as superscripts. If more than three authors, name the first three authors only and then use et al. Abbreviations of journal names must follow those in Index Medicus.
