Dear SNACC members,
A very Warm, Healthy and Prosperous New Year to all of you!
I have been given a huge responsibility to lead the SNACC newsletter team. I am very grateful to Dr. Girija Rath, the past Editor-in-Chief for his able guidance and immense contribution to the SNACC newsletter. I am very fortunate to have a very diverse team represented by editors from USA, India, Canada, and China. This is the first publication of Year 2023, and I am thrilled to see your responses / feedbacks.
In this newsletter, for the first time, we have incorporated a wellness section “Beyond Anesthesia-A Wellness Initiative”. This will provide opportunities to our members for sharing their creativities/contributions and other activities that go beyond the operating room or clinical realms. This section will be handled by Arun George, USA. In this section, you will be able to appreciate the outstanding and heroic contribution by our immediate-past president, Dr. Chanannait Paisansathan who rescued a woman on the street. In addition, you will find a master-piece “Creativity on Canvas” by Arun George. I encourage to all members, please reach out to Dr Arun George or myself, if you would like to submit.
Secondly, we have updated the guidelines for the submission process of articles for the newsletter. This will serve a more streamlined and standardized process in compiling and submitting the manuscript. The section editors can be contacted directly if your section members are interested in submitting the articles.
Finally, this newsletter contains various interesting, informative and thought provoking articles. I congratulate all committee chairs and members for their valuable contribution. In addition, I had a distinct opportunity to have an interview with the renowned neuroanesthesiologist and Professor Emeritus, Dr. Hari Hara Dash, India. I truly believe that his endeavours will inspire new generation anesthesiologists and budding neuroanesthesiologists across the globe.
