Invitation to Participate in Anaesthesiological Routine Care for Thrombectomy In Cerebral Ischaemia (ARCTIC-I) – An International Prospective Observational Study

The choice of anesthetic technique for endovascular stroke thrombectomy, and its impact on outcomes has been debated for a while now. ARCTIC-I is an international, prospective, observational study that aims to provide an overview of anesthesia care during endovascular thrombectomy around the world, and identify factors associated with post-procedure neurological outcomes. The study is sponsored by ESAIC (European Society of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care) and endorsed by SNACC. The study details are available on https://www.esaic.org/research/clinical-trial-network/arctic-i/

Any hospital that performs endovascular stroke thrombectomy routinely involving anesthesia care is welcome to contribute as a study centre. You can register online: https://www.esaic.org/research/clinical-trial-network/call-for-centres/call-for-centres-form/.

If you have further questions about participation, feel free to contact the Principal Investigator Dr. Andreas Ranft (andreas.ranft@tum.de) or Dr. Deepak Sharma (dsharma@uw.edu).
