SNACC 50th Anniversary Annual Meeting Update: “Reconnect”

John Bebawy, MD – On behalf of the SNACC Annual Meeting Planning Committee

Planning is well underway, SNACC leadership and management are working very hard behind the scenes, and the excitement is mounting to a fever pitch for what is definitely going to be an annual meeting that is going to be like no other! The Annual Meeting Planning Committee is making sure that our first in-person annual meeting since 2019 is nothing but an absolute success, honoring and celebrating our 50-year history and looking ahead to our bright future. To recap, this year’s meeting will take place at the Grand Hyatt in Seattle, Washington, on September 8-10, 2022. Program elements and arrangements are nearly finalized, and we couldn’t be more excited about our speakers, our topics, our workshops, and our chance to “reconnect” in some very exciting places in Seattle.

Go to the meeting website ( There you’ll find general information about the meeting, the full program schedule, the social activities we have planned, and a lot of other useful information. Registration will be opening soon (or may have opened already by the time of publication of this update), and you’ll want to be sure to take advantage of early-bird registration! The pre-meeting workshops on Thursday have garnered quite a bit of attention and excitement already, including hands-on workshops related to EEG interpretation and other clinical methods of brain monitoring, as well as some very exciting symposia covering both basic and clinical science, so if you want to avail yourself of these amazing educational opportunities, sign up early (we’re expecting full capacity will be reached quickly for these events). Likewise, PBLDs tend to sell out pretty quickly, so if you’re interested, please be sure to sign up sooner rather than later. Our “50th Anniversary Gala” and “Pub Night” are also events that you won’t want to miss, with a limited number of tickets.

Save the date! The SNACC 50th Annual Meeting will be an in-person meeting in Seattle, Washington, on September 8-10, 2022. This is truly an in-person event, and rest assured that SNACC is fully committed to ensuring your safety (with strict compliance to local, state, and federal guidelines), full inclusivity (including to our international members and attendees), and providing you with the opportunity to finally see your colleagues, old and new, “in real life” again! So, it’s time to “reconnect”! Keep up with us on social media for the latest updates and previews of some very exciting content (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, #SNACC2022), and tell your friends! See you in September!
