PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Chanannait Paisansathan, MD, MHA
SNACC President
As I finish my two-year term as SNACC President, I notice that our Society has never been more relevant and valuable for those practicing neuroanesthesiology worldwide. I’ve considered the SNACC network as one very large, multi-national, best-in-class neuroanesthesiologists and intensivists. A core group provides abundant opportunities to learn, teach, mentor, and share top-quality best medical practices. A team that enables us to advocate, brainstorm, meet, network, and socialize with friends and colleagues all over the country and world. We pursue and build close relationships with our joint Societies that share the same vision of advancing Neuroscience discovery and delivering the best quality care for neurosurgical patients.
SNACC is celebrating its 50th anniversary. I’m proud of our successes, particularly in providing more opportunities for meaningful engagement of our members, introducing innovative perioperative EEG training/certificate, elevating and standardizing the neuroanesthesia fellowship training, and providing professional development and outreach opportunities. In addition, inclusion and diversity have become our core values in conducting Society’s business. In the year ahead, we will continue these initiatives and add programming designed for the different stages of members’ careers, virtual programming, building the patient’s safety and quality improvement for neurosurgical patients, and events in collaboration with other societies and beyond.
Thank you, members, for your continued participation and enthusiasm in our neuroanesthesia community. Also, for the past two years, I’d like to give a special shout-out of appreciation to our SNACC Board of Directors, our Executive Directors for their tireless work and to all Committees Chairs and committee members who spend their valuable time handling Society affairs amid COVID pandemic. I am grateful for your dedication to SNACC. Thank you all!
Finally, I look forward to welcoming the 2022 newly elected leaders and SNACC officers. Let’s celebrate our 50th best year and many years to come. See you soon in Seattle.
