Please list a few of your most recent accomplishments: 22 years of Private Practice as Director of Neuroanesthesia and Trauma Anesthesia at a 1066 bed Level 1 Trauma Center in Charlotte NC. There I oversaw the anesthesia for a large (22 member) neurosurgery group who performed over 4000 cases per year. I personally performed 8,500 neurosurgical anesthetics over the past 10 years. During the last few years I helped that department start a neurosurgery residency that is now in its 4th year. I also ran an Acting Internship program in collaboration with UNC-CH for students interested in a career in Anesthesia During my private practice career I was able to publish 6 papers and numerous abstracts from a large quality assurance database. I transitioned to academic practice to continue my goals of teaching and research.
Why did you join SNACC? To reconnect with colleagues interested in the speciality. To help influence the care and management of patients undergoing neurosurgical procedures.
