The Journal of Neurosurgical Anesthesiology (JNA) holds the copyright to all abstracts accepted for presentation at the Society for Neuroscience in Anesthesiology and Critical Care (SNACC) Annual Meeting. To avoid potential copyright infringement, abstracts previously published or accepted for publication are not eligible for submission to the SNACC Annual Meeting.
- The presenting author is responsible for ensuring that the abstract has not been published or presented elsewhere prior to the annual meeting.
- Submission of an abstract implies an obligation for the presenting author or backup presenting author to register for the SNACC Annual Meeting and present the work as scheduled. Not registering for the meeting may result in the removal of the abstract from the program and exclusion from publication in the JNA.
- Posters may be presented in-person or virtually. We will try to accommodate the author’s preference. Specific presentation guidelines will be provided upon abstract acceptance.
- To be eligible for the meeting awards (ex. Best of Meeting, Anesthesia Patient Safety, WINNER abstract, Join Society Awards, etc.), the presenting author must opt-in during the abstract submission process under the Award Eligibility Category. More details about the SNACC awards can be found here.
- Revisions are not permitted after the submission deadline. Abstracts will be published in all program materials as submitted.
- There are no limits on the number of submissions or presentations per author.
- Abstracts must be written in English, with the Introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusions sections limited to a combined total of 600 words.
- Brand names are prohibited; only generic names should be used.
By submitting an abstract, the authors acknowledge and agree to these policies.
