Together at last!
In his NYT bestseller, ‘From Strength to Strength’, Arthur Brooks discusses Life and happiness. He uses a discussion of how Redwood trees grow to elucidate how we find strength and happiness through collaboration and teamwork. Redwood trees are the most massive individual trees on earth. Redwood trees which grow up to 275 feet tall have roots that are quite shallow at 5-6 ft deep and, despite this, can remain upright for hundreds and thousands of years courtesy of how they grow… TOGETHER. The redwoods shallow roots are intertwined and over time, fuse together as they mature and grow. Supporting our trainees, fellows, new practitioners and junior faculty through mentorship and support as they become involved in SNACC is a key component of our continued growth and development.
As we plan our in-person meeting to celebrate our 50th anniversary, let’s take the time to welcome our trainees, fellows, and junior faculty and assure them a space in SNACC to connect. The membership committee would like to invite interested SNACC members to join. Growing our diverse membership and expanding trainee representation are some of the important aspects of membership committee work and we would love to hear more of your ideas. Please join and share your thoughts and ideas for the next 50 years.
If you have not yet renewed your membership, please renew and stay connected. Our new association managers, IMI association executives, are ensuring that our website can continue to accommodate renewals easily. If you are unable to renew online, please feel free to contact IMI Association Executives via email info@snacc.org and include the best time/day you can be reached in order to renew your membership.
