The PBLD subcommittee, led by Dr. Shaun Gruenbaum, reviewed over a dozen PBLD submissions for the upcoming meeting. Thank you to all our members who submitted excellent topic ideas! The committee reviewed the submissions and selected four topics for presentation. They include: “Anesthesia for Awake Spine Surgery” led by Dr. Shaun Gruenbaum, “Management of a Patient with a Neurologic Stimulator during Non-neurological Surgery” led by Drs. Jacqueline Morano and Jamie Uejima, “Emergency Cervical Spine Surgery for Central Cord Syndrome after a Fall: Important Considerations” led by Dr. Shilpa Rao, and “Anesthetic Management for Pediatric Craniosynostosis” led by Drs. Ashish Bindra and Swati Chhabra. We are looking forward to these interesting presentations! Space is limited, so register today to reserve your spot!
Congratulations to the the Neuroanesthesia Quiz subcommittee comprised of Drs. Tumul Chowdhury, Adele Budiansky, Swati Chhabra, Surya Dube, Sonal Sharma, and Hui Yang. The 99th quiz titled “Neuro-prognostication” is now available on the SNACC website and the team is preparing to publish their 100th quiz! Thank you to this group for their unwavering dedication to creating this amazing and very popular educational resource for our members and trainees!
Drs. Arun George and Carine Zeeni, co-chairs of the SNACC Bibliography subcommittee, are currently working to update this resource with new content. Thank you to our SNACC members who are helping to serve as content experts to update this excellent resource!
Please be on the lookout for the newest addition to the Clinical Audio Corner, produced by Drs. Alex Papangelou, Ben Gruenbaum, and Kelsey Serfozo! Dr. Serfozo will be interviewing Drs. Gabrielle White-Duro and Arney Abcejo with an update on the management of VAE. They will be discussing recent literature and evidence-based institutional practice.
