Dear SNACC Newsletter Readers,
Wishing you all a happy, healthy and successful New Year! On behalf of the SNACC Newsletter team, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your continued support of the Newsletter – whether through your readership or contributions to its contents. Your ongoing involvement allows us to learn from each other’s experiences, foster connections within our community, and continue growing the international Neuroanesthesia network.
In this edition, we offer a variety of articles for your enjoyment. These include educational content, such as the “Medically Challenging Case” and “EEG Signature(s)”, as well as updates from many of our important committees. Dr. Geraldine Jose offers valuable insights regarding standardization of Neuroanesthesia education in the Philippines. We also present two interviews: Drs. Vincent and Vacas speak with Dr. David Obert, the 2024 recipient of the SNACC William L. Young Neuroscience Research Award, while in “Rendezvous with the Editor-in-Chief,” I have the privilege of interviewing Dr. Alana Flexman, the new Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Neurosurgical Anesthesiology, about her career and vision for the journal.
My sincere thanks go to our Editors and Translators, whose efforts are essential in preparing all the exceptional submissions for publication.
As always, please feel free to contact me with any feedback or comments.
Sincerely,
Adele Budiansky, MD FRCPC
